In order to curb the menace of unsolicited commercial calls (UCC), telecom regulatory authority of India (TRAI) has asked the service providers to disconnect all the telephone numbers and internet connections of the persons or the companies from where the pesky UCC emerge.

KANPUR: The BSNL customers can now view their call details on internet. The BSNL authorities will be uploading call details of around 1.50 lakh landline customers on the net. Customers however will have to create an ID to view the details.

when other Circles have gathered sufficient amount of Fund but we cant why....? freinds.. when fund required we office bearers have to ask you several times for fund... why...? why the office bearers need to do that? if snatta do someting, you will get benefit equaly but you wont ready to send fund and irresponsive.....its nothing but loss of your morale....some peoples are giving repeatedly and some are silent and cleverly saving the amount .. how is it possible....? how can you do that...?
freinds ( who are not giving fund & irresponsive), you will be the only responsible person for any lag and if we loss something you will be liable...

If British Telecom could be turned around by hiving off its operations into separate entities, the same can be achieved with BSNL and MTNL.
Revitalising the two state-run telecom behemoths, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL), has become a priority for the government, with both firms posting losses for six consecutive years.
As per unaudited figures, BSNL posted a loss of Rs 8,198 crore in 2012-13, while MTNL recorded a loss of Rs 3,300 crore.
The Group of Ministers (GoM) concerned is expected to meet to discuss a trifurcation of the firms. However, what’s required is a streamlining of operations and greater independence.

In a pro-active gesture to yatris undertaking the annual pilgrimage to the sacred shrine of Amarnath, BSNL will issue special pre-paid SIM cards to keep them connected throughout.
At present, prepaid connections from States other than Jammu & Kashmir do not work, as per guidelines of the Department of Telecommunications. Yatris having post-paid SIMs can be connected through the roaming network, BSNL officials said at a review meeting held by the Union Minister of ICT Killi Kruparani. The Minister asked the Government undertaking in the J&K circle to complete all works related to the Amarnath yatra before June.

The group of ministers (GoM) looking at ways to revitalise the two state-run telecom companies — Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and MTNL — is expected to meet in the next few days and discuss the proposal for trifurcation of the two behemoths. The plan is to spin off two new companies — one each for network infrastructure and land development — out of each telco.

16-05-2013: It is decided by Circle Executive body that every Circle Executive body member will send Rs 1000/- as loan to Circle Fund for immediate requirement of fund for legal aid in CHQ...Also all DP DS and Treasurer are requested to collect residual part of Rs 300/- as declared earlier and send it to Circle immediately within 3 days... mind it various cases are running in various courts and hence fund are required and also our Circle fund should be sufficient to incurr all sorts of movement etc..wishing best co-operation...

NEW DELHI: State-owned telecom operator BSNL is expected to announce lower losses, at Rs 8,198 crore, for 2012-13 fiscal.
In 2011-12, it had reported losses of Rs 8,851 crore. "As per unaudited figures, BSNL loss stands at Rs 8,198 crore. It will be audited and then the final numbers will be released," said an official.
he figure does not include around Rs 2,700 crore which the company has to get from the government for supporting rural landline operations.
The company registered losses of Rs 8,850.70 crore during 2011-12 due to regulatory expenses and non-receipt of funds for its rural landlines operations. It stated the impact to be about Rs 3,100 crore.
BSNL has been logging losses since 2009-10. The company's profits had started declining after 2004-05, when it had made net gains of Rs 10,183 crore.
During 2010--11, BSNL losses had risen to Rs 6,384 crore mainly due to hefty outgo on salaries and expenses borne by the PSU for procuring 3G and BWA spectrum.

NEW DELHI: The Group of Ministers (GoM) on BSNL andMTNL is likely to hold its first meeting on May 10 to discuss ways to revive the two loss-making public sector telecom companies.
"The meeting is scheduled for May 10. The GoM will decide on the future of BSNL and MTNL. Its recommendations will go to the Cabinet for the final decision," a government official told PTI. The GoM is headed by Finance Minister P Chidambaram.

01-05-2013: Meeting with CGMT WB......................
SNATTA WB PRESIDENT Sri Jagadish Paul, CS NFTE com Chitra basu and other leaders met CGMT WB regarding JTO LICE. we have urged CGMT to make the question easy so that maximum candidate get chance to be JTO as there is hard crisis of JTO at this moment. also we have requested to issue model question paper and provide Training on the type of question for JTO LICE. CGMT assures all sort of co-opeartion also assures to arrange so that maximum can be JTO.
Regarding training matter , more tan two weeks ago we were offered to arrange candidate for training. regarding this we from our Circle also issued notification to all DSs. its nothing new for us. we have also here to mention that we have issued several letter to CGMT WB.
Lastly we are to say very broadmindedly tell that if any trade union can make good for us we shall thank them whole heartedly...
but some foolish freinds yet to know that the trade unions are now giving due importance for the TTAs due to existance of SNATTA and if SNATTA lost its existance in any day then thsese selfish candidate will feel the need of snatta , they will also also they very selfish way taking their cost by selling their own.

GS SNATTA Com. Pawan Meena alongwith NFTE President Com. Islam Ahmed met with Director (HR) on dated 29.04.2013 to discuss the various JTO LICE issues including (1) Model question papers (2) Training/Coaching for S/C S/T staff (3) No negative marking.
Com. Chandeshwar Singh GS NFTE wrote the letter on the above issues.
