All Set to Start for a New beginning of BSNL, Be a BSNL Customer..
BSNL which is company having above 2.35 Lakh employees as on 31.03.2014, and
around more than 50,000 indirect/contract workers and also many people working
without sourced BSNL business. MTNL is also having similar numbers of its size
and presence. If anything happens means around 4 Lakh people and their families
who work for both BSNL and MTNL future will be a question mark.

19.05.2015: Now dial STD mobile numbers without 0 or +91, India one step closer to full MNP.
Operators has started the process of implementing simplified dialing pattern that allow both STD and local numbers be dialed without any prefix. Many operators have implemented this .
One of the main technical problem of full MNP was STD dialing pattern. At present, STD numbers can only be dialed by adding either ‘0’ or ‘+91? as the prefix. But post full MNP STD and local numbers cannot be differentiated and should have same dialing pattern. These changes require configuration modifications in each of the operator nodes and operators had sorted more time to implement this before full MNP. DoT had recently given two months extension for operators to implement full MNP on grounds of these technical issues.
As per the latest deadline set by DoT, full MNP will be implemented in the country by July. A full MNP will allow the subscribers to move from one mobile networks to other in any telecom circles in the country. So customer can retain his mobile number in any part of the country without paying for roaming charges.

The circle Core committee decided to form a committee to culture the JTO LICE issue and its vacancy issue so that discrepancy if any in vacancy calculation since formation of BSNL as per DOPT guidelines may be pointed out.
We do not want any delay as and when the Case of TN circle( where it is assumed
that there is huge discrepancy in vacancy calculation) came into our notice.

Five public sector undertakings (PSUs) will be closed down by the government, which has included some of the best known state-run enterprises like Air India, MTNL and Hindustan Shipyard, in the list of 65 sick PSUs, Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday. The five state-run organisations to be closed down include three HMT units whose brand of watches and tractors once ruled the market, Heavy Industries Minister Anant Geete said during Question Hour, adding that their employees were being offered a "very good" VRS package. However, he did not name the other PSUs which are slated to be closed down. Air India and MTNL, once market leaders in aviation and mobile telephony sectors respectively, were declared sick as per the criteria for a PSU to be declared as such, after they incurred losses worth 50 percent or more of their average net worth during four preceding years. The Minister said there were 65 units in the list of sick PSUs as of March 31 last year. The reasons for their sickness vary from enterprise to enterprise and included obsolete plants and machinery, heavy interest burden, resource crunch, surplus manpower and shortage of working capital, he said. Air India accumulated losses of Rs 5388 crore, Rs 5490 crore and Rs 7559 crore in years 2013-14, 2012-13 and 2011-12 respectively, according to the figures tabled in the House. MTNL showed profit of Rs 7820 crore in 13-14 but had incurred losses of Rs 5321 cr and Rs 4109 cr in the previous years. Hindustan Shipyard Limited posted losses of Rs 859 crore, Rs 551 crore and Rs 462 crore in the three years. Geete said the concerned administrative ministries "prepare proposals for revival or otherwise of sick companies on case to case basis and obtain approval of the government." MTNL stock price On March 10, 2015, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam closed at Rs 25.95, up Rs 0.50, or 1.96 percent. The 52-week high of the share was Rs 39.10 and the 52-week low was Rs 14.01. The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 115.91 per share as per the quarter ended December 2014. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 0.22. The latest book value of the company is Rs 80.01 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company is 0.32.

FORUM meeting with CMD attended by Acting GS Sunil Gautam. In case of 30% superannuation benefit for DR recruited management is agree to extend 3% extra contribution in existing 18% and review every year till superannuation benefit reached 30% as per financial condition of BSNL but Direct Recruits Executive association requested to review the decision before implementation as they have submitted the documents as asked by management in support of our demands. HR plan based on Deolittee committee recommendation rejected by staff side members and demand separate discussion on that but because all issues struck in Board of Directors in the name of HR Plan so CMD intervene and agree to take up this issue separately within the week.

Anupam Shrivastava, the new chairman and managing director of
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), has his hands full within weeks of
taking over. In an interview with Mansi Taneja, he talks about an investment plan of
Rs 39,000 crore over the next five years to expand BSNL's core network
and reviving the public sector undertaking in the next three years.

10.01.2015: Designations Committee meeting ends in deadlock.
The Designations Committee meeting was held yesterday the 09.01.2015. com. P. Abhimanyu, GS, com. Balbir Singh, President, com. Swapan Chakraborty, Dy. GS, Com. Chandeswar Singh, GS, NFTE and com. Mahabir Singh (NFTE) participated from Staff Side. Shri Shameem Akthar, Sr. GM (SR), Ms. Madhu Arora, Sr. GM (Restg.) and Shri R.K. Goyal, GM (Estt) participated from Management Side. Discussion resumed on the change of designation of the Sr. TOA cadre. In the last meeting, the Staff Side has demanded “Superintendent” designation for Sr. TOA, since Management was not prepared to give the designations such as “Associate officer”, “Manager” or Executive. In yesterday’s meeting also the Management Side told that they cannot give “Superintendent” designation also to the Sr. TOAs. Especially, shri R.K. Goyal, GM (Estt.) firmly told that, as a member of the Committee, he would not accept to give the Superintendent designation to the Sr. TOAs. Thus, the meeting ended in a deadlock, without any development.

12-12-2014: Designation committee meeting
meeting of the Designations Committee was held on 10.12.2014. . Prolonged discussions took place in respect of change of designations of Sr.TOA and TTA. The Staff Side demanded, Junior Engineer designation for the cadre of TTA. The Management Side told that this would be discussed in the their internal meeting and decision would be informed in the next meeting. The Management Side told that this would also be discussed in their internal meeting, and that the decision would be conveyed in the next meeting of the Designations Committee meeting to be held on 08.01.2015.

10.12.2014: Report on JTO R/R 2014, meeting held on 09.12.2014
A meeting held between BSNL management and The DOT, Govt nominee on the revised R/R of JTO (RR 2014) and other HR matters. Even though the management side were very much willing to implement RR 2014 but finally the meeting failed and all the matters could not get approval of BSNL Board due to reported objections from Govt nominees (Specially the Additional Secretery, Govt of India). The DOT, Govt, nominees are objecting on the plea of restructuring and HR plan..

A Meeting of JAC held on 06.12.2014 at New Delhi.Sri Sunil Gautam, Dy. GS/SNATTA was present in the meeting.It has been decided to make a detailed assesment of the strike,in the next meeting to be held at 04:00 p.m on 20.12.2014 at BSNL MS Office.It has also been decided that General Secretaries of the constituents should submit a report to JAC,on the strike,with district wise particulars.

NEW DELHI: Members in the Lok Sabha today expressed concern over the sorry state of affairs in state owned BSNLand MTNL which is hitting hard millions of mobile users all over the country daily due to poor connectivity.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour, K Geetha (YSR Cong) said MPs who have got BSNL mobile connections face the problem of dropping of calls in spite of being connected through MTNL.

employees who participate in the one day strike, held on
27.11.2014. Further, she had requested the CGM to keep all
the offices open on the day of the strike, and also to
provide "protection" for the "loyal workers" who come to
work. The All India leadership of NFTE, being part of the
JAC, has played a significant role in organising the
united struggle successfully all over the country. But,
one circle union of NFTE had asked the Management to

JTO(LICE) service eligibility period..Sh Islam Ahmed,All India President,NFTE was also present in the disussion. We are happy to learn that Sh R K Goyal gave more than assurance that the service eligibility period for JTO(LICE) is going to be 5 years and it will be implemented very soon.
