After heavy delay, Union Cabinet finally approved Rs.1,250 crore compensation to BSNL.

This compensation is for the landlines installed prior to 1st April, 2002. Even though this compensation became due in 2013-14 itself, there was inordinate delay in government's approving the same.  Forum of BSNL unions and Associations has conducted several struggles, demanding payment of this compensation. However, the Cabinet has also decided that this is the last and final payment of compensation to BSNL, and that no further financial support from the USO Fund will be made on this count

Reduction of training period for internal candidate for promotion to JTO.

To,
The GS/SNATTA
Comrade,
Thanks a lot for your co-operation against ongoing JTO LICE procedure.  Although all the candidates are  now in a big sufferings with frickled attitude of management.
However apart from this   we need to bring attentions that as per existing rule , the training period for promotion to JTO through LICE is now scheduled for four month at training centre(which includes pre-basic, phase-1) and one month as field training i.e. total 5 months.

We from our unity think that after serving more than 5 years of service in BSNL, practically an employee get most of  the technicalities, ideas and administrative procedures etc which is needed for being promoted to JTO. Not only that we got induction training at the time of recruitment as TTA in a vast manner.
As such we feel that there is no need for internal candidates(through JTO LICE) to give same type of trainings during same  period as  external candidate. We think that the period of training at training centres for internal candidates should be reduced to one month . if needed field training span  may be increased.
Note that by this 4 months training ,  BSNL have to give   salary as well as TA/DA to the employees undergoing training and also there is a remarkable harms to the service of BSNL due to  the absence of huge nos of employees.
If  the training period is reduced there will be remarkable savings of BSNL and we may avoid harms to BSNL  service by the absence of the employees undergoing training.
On the other side the family members of an employee undergoing training faced severe problem due to absence of the employee. As such the employee will also be benefitted.
Considering the interest in bothway, the span  of training should be reduced to one month at training centre and one month as field training.
Thanking you,

With regards……
