ITANAGAR: The BSNL has brought the entire Koyu circle of East Siang district under its network, fulfilling the demands of people of the area.
The network will cover Koyu EAC headquarters and 10 other nearby villages, a source said here on Thursday. Koyu zila parishad member Takir Kakki, who had moved the BSNL general manager in Itanagar for extension of its service to the area, expressed gratitude to the BSNL authorities for fulfilling the demand.
Koyu EAC headquarters with more than 4,000 people was established 20 years ago. Later, a circle office was established at Korang.
The Koyu-Korang area in Nari-Koyu constituency is lagging far behind the rest of the states in terms of infrastructure development. Though there is a full-fledged circle office, higher secondary school and various other departmental offices at Korang, people are still suffering a lot due to lack of proper road connectivity.
